Men's basketball beats No. 3 Purdue thanks to Bridges' game-winning shot

Saturday seemed like a game the Spartans were destined to win. Between a memorial for former MSU basketball coach Jud Heathcote —who led the Spartans to the 1979 National Championship as part of a 19-year career in East Lansing, but died last August — and a recruiting visit from standout recruit Vernon Carey Jr., a sold out crowd at the Breslin Center erupted on a game-winning three pointer from forward Miles Bridges.

Residential colleges pen open letter to MSU Board of Trustees

In a noteworthy display of student ingenuity, the student councils of MSU’s residential colleges penned an open letter to the MSU Board of Trustees. In the letter, the James Madison Student Senate, The Lyman Briggs Student Advisory Council and The Residential College in the Arts and Humanities Council expressed a statement of no confidence in the Board of Trustees.
