On Friday, Sept. 25, the city of East Lansing launched a brand new website interface that is more accessible and easier to navigate, according to a release from the city.
“It makes you feel like you’re out of place when you get to college and that’s a really hard thing for students of color at a predominantly white institute," Lopez said. "You have to kind of find your place despite the fact that the majority of the population on campus doesn’t look like you."
The DHS proposal said applications for extensions of stay could be approved if "additional time needed is due to a compelling academic reason, documented medical illness or medical condition, or circumstance that was beyond the student’s control."
The establishment opened on July 17 as the only operating medical facility in East Lansing. On Sept. 26, they opened for recreational use.
