Former MSU offensive lineman Don Coleman died Jan. 30 at the age of 88, according to a press release.

$1 million gift made to Spartan Athletics
MSU alumna Mary Helen and Craig Crooks have made a $1 million donation to MSU Athletics in support of MSU's Empower Extraordinary campaign, according to a MSU press release on Friday.

MSU football continues to add recruits as Signing Day nears
Just more than a week after four-star linebacker Antjuan Simmons committed to MSU, head coach Mark Dantonio acquired three more recruits from the class of 2017 this week as strong-side defensive end DeAri Todd, cornerback Tre Person and wide receiver Raheem Blackshear verbally committed to the Spartans.ch A three-star prospect from Clearview High School in Lorain, Ohio, Todd is ranked No. 2,052 in the nation and No. 98 among strong-side defensive ends, according to 247Sports composite rankings.ch Todd had made two official visits to MSU, but the Spartans had yet to offer.
