It all started in the dorms last year. I was a young 19-year-old, and was sick of dining hall food. Also, I was literally quite sick – there are only so many times I can eat at Case Hall's Veg-Out.

We, as MSU students and journalists, have seen where the board’s priorities lie. By running to the press with rumors and creating this avoidable chaos, our elected officials have proven they’re not in a place to make any sort of decision about MSU administration. Our roles as editor-in-chief and managing editor gives us the platform to share these stories directly from those who experience them. We hope it implements a layer of trust – we want you to feel comfortable sharing your stories. But we also hope to serve as role models for all the students of color at MSU. There’s a place for you in the higher seats at the organizations you dream to work for. There’s space for you at the table. Your voice belongs in that room.
Some of you have walked these four years together and some of you are just joining our journey this year. Either way, we'll continue to walk them together. I can promise you that.
