The coronavirus pandemic has flipped the world on its head, and graduating seniors are already feeling its impact.
Going out-of-state comes with its fair share of pros and cons. In the end, I am so glad I did — MSU has become my home, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Here are ideas, courtesy of some of our staffers, for staying occupied while practicing social distancing.
In the past two weeks, the ability for people around the world to interact with their communities has been severely limited. For some, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has helped fill that void for the time being.

When I heard about the $2 trillion stimulus package, I felt a small wave of relief. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am no longer able to work one of my jobs. Unfortunately, it was all too good to be true for college students.
"Those not infected with COVID-19 are still vulnerable to the repercussions of isolation and loss of a daily routine. Now is an opportunity to widen the microscope and see the entire problem."
What questions or concerns do you have about coronavirus and its impact on the MSU community?
"MSU needs to organize a fund to continue paying university staff and student employees who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19."
"I will remember the long speech from my general manager filled with an abundance of messages like, 'I’m sorry, everyone,' and, 'We will get through this, I promise.' But in all honesty, that didn’t mean anything to me, because words are not what are going to solve my — or anyone else’s — real problems."
"While we’re going to experience a summer without many of the festivals and cultural events we’re accustomed to, we won’t be without the music itself."
