Time for U-M to stop excuses, realize underdog can be better

I can’t speak for everybody, but I’m really getting tired of the bias toward the University of Michigan whenever it comes to MSU. It seems like every time the Spartans make the maize and blue look bad, there are a million excuses why it happened, except for the reason that MSU just came out on top. According to a friend of mine in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines are absolutely livid about Saturday’s last-second touchdown play that handed victory to MSU.

With all that has happened in the last month and the events that continue to escalate hour by hour, I began to listen closer to things that perhaps never captured my attention before. I have started to focus on the diatribes that go on with characters who have the power to influence large numbers of fairly ignorant and uninformed people.

Music, even if loud, helps identify self

After four years on this campus, there isn’t much that intimidates me. But there is one thing that scares me above all else - I get nervous driving in the area when I play my music loud. I’m not worried about the police giving me a noise violation ticket, although I have gotten a few in the past.
