MSU will not require the COVID-19 vaccine this fall semester

People who partake in international, domestic and university-related travel will be required to be vaccinated. The medical school and health facilities will require some students to be vaccinated to engage in patient interactions, Executive Vice President for Health Sciences Norman Beauchamp said.

2 people plead guilty to making fraudulent claims to the Healing Fund

Two parents of a former MSU women's basketball player pleaded guilty June 8 to one count of using false pretenses to obtain over $20,000 from Michigan State's Healing Assistance Fund, which was created to cover the medical expenses for the survivors of ex-MSU doctor Larry Nassar. Four other people received false pretenses charges.

“I mean, I'm sure we all kind of know by now that being online isn't exactly the same as being in person,” Gianiodis said. “You don't really have the same effect, or I guess, emotions if that makes sense. But for me, it was really exciting like I said, to see everybody in person and walk across the stage in person and not have to be online.”
