The MSU men's basketball team has been ranked the No. 1 team in the nation, according to the latest AP Top 25 Poll. MSU is followed by No. 2 Kansas and No. 3 North Carolina.
Although MSU beat Binghamton 76-33 on Saturday afternoon, MSU men's basketball coach Tom Izzo was not thrilled with the win and said he was excited to get back to practicing.

The No. 3 MSU basketball team (7-0) is off to a fast and busy start to its 2015-16 campaign and is currently in the midst of a stretch which, when it's all said and done, will include seven games in 15 days. What started as a 79-73 victory over Kansas on Nov. 17 in Chicago, was followed by a 92-46 victory against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and continued with a four-game week, where the Spartans finished a Wooden Legacy championship. But MSU's busy stretch doesn't stop there. The Spartans, after getting back from California at 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, will turn right back around and take on the No. 24 Louisville Cardinals (5-0) Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

Head coach Tom Izzo said he is “still playing too many people,” though, and he hopes to solidify a consistent rotation soon. “I think I played 12 guys who played seven minutes or more and that’s going to be a little chaotic but I am continuously trying to figure out who are going to be my eight, nine and 10 and who are going to be my 11, 12, 13 and 14,” Izzo said. “And it is starting to separate itself.”
