Ask any athlete, team or coach and they will tell you that playing on the road is one of the toughest challenges in sports.
A lack of tackling has been an issue for the MSU football team this year, and missed wrap ups have helped contributed to a woeful 109th in third-down defense and a highly uncharacteristic six sacks through six games. The past members of the “Spartan Dawg” defense have not had issues like this one, whether it be former linebackers like Max Bullough and Denicos Allen or secondary standouts like Trenton Robinson or Isaiah Lewis.

South Neighborhood is the home for the majority freshman and sophomore student-athletes.
The penultimate home game of the season against Yale was all about defending. Indemnifying the one-goal loss to Penn State the weekend before, MSU shored up the back line and guarded the home turf.
MSU's starting center Gavin Schilling will be out for an undetermined amount of time. Schilling suffered a knee injury that will need surgery, MLive's Brendan Quinn reports via Twitter. The 6'9 senior regressed in playing time and points last season, recording 12.5 minutes per game, just under four minutes less than his sophomore year.
