A new co-ed MSU student organization called the Competitive Cheer Club has been created for students with previous cheerleading experience. Carla Colbeck, president and founding member of the club, said she hopes to recruit between 20 and 25 members for a competitive team that will create dance choreography for statewide competitions. Excluding money for uniforms, there is no fee. Colbeck said the club, which will meet for two hours, twice a week, will also be participating in community events.
