MSU releases statement condemning hateful speech, derogatory language incidents on campus

Student Life and Engagement and the Office of Civil Rights sent a letter to students addressing recent instances of "hate speech, derogatory language, and inappropriate behavior" on campus. The Black Students' Alliance said the letter was a direct response to a statement released by the organization six days prior to the letter, which detailed several "racial incidents" that Black students have experienced this semester.

New MSU program will eliminate tuition costs for eligible students starting next year

Thousands of incoming Spartans will have their tuition covered for up to eight semesters, thanks to MSU's new financial aid program, Spartan Tuition Advantage. To be eligible, students must be citizens or permanent U.S. residents, qualify for in-state tuition, be Pell Grant eligible and have a household income of $65,000 or less.

FRIB will put $115 million toward High Rigidity Spectrometer project

Gender equity review shows inadequacies, inequalities in MSU athletics

FAME program supports foster youth alumni at MSU and beyond

MSU's Fostering Academics, Mentoring Excellence program provides support and resources to students who are former foster youth, have experienced homelessness or are otherwise independent. FAME coordinator Chiquita Whittington said the program provides members with support networks that traditional students would typically receive from their parents.
