Nassar in the News: USA Gymnastics settled Nassar case, might have broken law

Alleged Nassar victims and former gymnasts call for new USA Gymnastics leadership. The P&G Gymnastics Championships begin amidst heavy criticism. Eaton County trial date will happen at an undetermined date in 2018. USA Gymnastics could be in violation of a California law after reaching a confidential settlement. Civil lawsuits against Nassar, MSU and others is in a mediation phase.

Spartan Marching Band director to retire, effective August

Spartan Marching Band Director and MSU professor John T. Madden will retire from the Spartan Marching Band and the university on Aug. 16. David Thornton, previously assistant director of bands and associate director of the Spartan Marching Band, was appointed as the new Spartan Marching Band director effective June 14.
