MSU Veterinary Mobile Unit helps Michigan shelters

Michigan State University's Veterinary Mobile Unit visits I Heart Dogs to perform operations on the animals inside in Warren, Mich., on July 16, 2026. The new mobile unit travels to new locations for 3 weeks to help shelters, locals and other SNR (Spay-Neuter-Release) programs and locations then undergoes standard maintenance for another 3 weeks before being sent out again. Being led by Dr. David Emery and the College of Veterinary Medicine, the unit contains the equipment needed to spay or neuter animals on location along with giving students the opportunity to learn and operate on animals during their time in veterinary school at Michigan State University.
