Scouting Report: MSU Football's Running Backs
The State News football writers Nathaniel Bott and Stephen Olschankski are providing a preview of each position group for MSU football. A trio of running backs, Gerald Holmes, Madre London and LJ Scott each saw more than 100 carries last season in keeping with MSU’s strategy to involve multiple running backs in its ground attack. All three provided tough running for the Spartan offense and eroded defenses late in games, helping to keep MSU balanced through the ground and the air. Expect more of the same from the Spartans, unless one back emerges to be Le'veon Bell 2.0
