The Alice B. Cowles House on Feb. 21, 2025. The oldest-standing building on campus, it was constructed in 1857 to serve as a residency for administrators and faculty. The building was originally called Faculty Row No. 7 before president John A. Hannah changed its name to honor the project benefactor's mother in 1949.
