The State News gathered for a chaotic game of broomball against the friendly foe Impact 89FM at Munn Ice Arena on Dec. 2, 2023. This game of broomball involved absolutely no organization, coordination or harmony across the team. Despite this, for the first time in several years, The State News came away with a triumphant win with a score of 5-1. Campus reporter Owen McCarthy and sports reporter Jacob Smith were unofficially named MVPs after unmatched efforts in both defensive and offensive plays. Blood was shed, chants were roared and bellowing laughs were heard across the ice in the monumental game.
