Michigan State men's soccer hosts Michigan in their annual "Battle for the Bear Trophy" showdown, this year at DeMartin Stadium in East Lansing, Mich., on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026. With a quiet first half, the Spartans needed to hit the ground running in the second if they wanted to solidify a victory. With an early goal from senior midfielder Leo Conneh (23), the possibility of a win felt more promising. However, with a late response from the Wolverines, the score remained 1-1 when the clock hit zero. The Spartans were able to retain possession of the Big Bear trophy, but could not walk away with the victory.
