MSU baseball takes weekend series two games to one over Northwestern

Michigan State baseball hosted Northwestern this weekend, securing the series victory with a 3-1 victory on Sunday. The Spartans dropped game one on Friday 11-10, after a late comeback fell short in extra innings, but evened the series on Saturday afternoon with a 10-0 thrashing of the Wildcats. Their weekend wins pushed the Spartans to 18-15 overall and 6-9 in conference play, placing them in a tie with Rutgers for the final spot in the Big Ten tournament. The Spartans look to carry their momentum into Tuesday when they will host Western Michigan at McLane Stadium.
