MSU's season ends in Elite Eight following 70-64 loss to Auburn
No. 2 seeded Michigan State fell to No. 1 seeded Auburn following a 70-64 loss in Atlanta on March 30, 2025. Despite being unranked in the preseason, the Spartans fought their way to the Elite Eight and fell just six points shy of a berth in the Final Four and a trip to San Antonio. With the Tigers defeating the Spartans, the Final Four will consist of all No. 1 seeds for just second time in history.
