Michigan State baseball earned a mercy rule win against Illinois at McLane Stadium on March 29, 2025. After securing a 14-4 win in the eighth inning, the Spartans have improved to an overall record of 17-10 on the season. Their impressive 16-hit performance was spearheaded by MSU redshirt senior infielder Sam Busch (24) who provided four hits for the Spartans, including a home run and five RBIs.
