Fourth-year Michigan State studio art student Evan Yalowitz paints in her studio at Kresge Art Center on April 4, 2025. “I let a lot of emotion drive all my pieces… that’s how it fuels my practice,” Yalowitz said. “I try to incorporate layers and depth — letting the painting evolve as I go rather than forcing a perfect image from the start.”
