Fake mannequin scares Dantonio, Maxwell, other Spartans
Since taking over the MSU football program in 2007, Mark Dantonio hasn’t been known for being an overly emotional guy. But then again, sometimes all it takes is a good scare.
The MSU athletics department released a video yesterday where Dantonio, several assistant coaches and players including senior quarterback Andrew Maxwell get surprised by an MSU player dressed like a mannequin.
Decked out head-to-toe in MSU football gear, the mannequin camped out at the Skandalaris Football Center and jumped out to scare players prior to a 6:30 a.m. team activities.
Dantonio’s response is highlighted by a brief moment of shock before breaking into a roar of laughter.
Maxwell appears to take it well, only displaying a slight moment of shock. Senior defensive tackle Tyler Hoover poses in a brief karate stance before laughing it off.
And freshmen running backs Gerald Holmes and Riley Bullough provide perhaps the best responses, both backing away in fear before realizing the mannequin merely is a prank.
