About half of Michigan State University has hot water and steam restored after the campus wide outage over the weekend.
For on campus residents, MSU has provided mobile showers for West Circle today. Brody Neighborhood mobile showers will be available tomorrow. MSU will also transport students from meet-up locations at South Neighborhood and Mason, Abbot, Snyder and Phillips to the East Lansing Hannah Community Center and University Club to access showers.
MSU also has four all-gender, single occupant bathrooms that include showers in Holmes and McDonel Halls. The bathrooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. tonight.
Restorations have been occurring in phases throughout the week, with 12 buildings restored as of 4 p.m. today.
The next buildings to be restored are Holden Hall, Wilson Hall, Infrastructure Planning and Facilities, Landscape Services, Oyer Hearing and Speech and MSU Department of Police and Public Safety.
Full hot water and steam are expected to be restored to campus on Monday, Sept. 28.
