Student-Made MSU will host its inaugural SCALE (Student Creatives and Artists Learning Entrepreneurship) Conference at Michigan State University on February 6–7, 2026.
The two-day event is designed to support student founders, creative entrepreneurs and emerging innovators across the nation.
Student-Made aims to help creators build their business, Lori Fischer Director of Outreach and Engagement at the Michigan State University Burgess Institute said.
"It varies from crocheting artists, fashion brands, jewelry makers, that kind of thing," Fischer said. "So people who are creating something can participate at student made through the Burgess Institute venture creation program."
The conference is being presented in partnership with the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the university’s hub for student venture development.
SCALE is open to students interested in exploring creative entrepreneurship, as well as educators who want to learn how to better support and engage student innovators.
The event will bring together attendees from campuses across the country for keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, breakout sessions and networking opportunities tailored to different stages of the entrepreneurial journey.
"We’ve seen such rapid growth here," Fischer said. "It felt like the right time to bring creative students together from campuses across the country."
Fischer also notes that the conference will rotate to different states in the coming years and students will be able to travel to different places.
Early registration is now open. MSU students, faculty and staff can attend for free through December 6 by using the code MSU COMMUNITY at checkout.
More information about the conference is available on the Student-Made website.
