East Lansing Police responded to a body in the street in front of the parking garage at Charles Street and Albert Avenue.
Charles Street was blocked off with police tape between Grand River Avenue and Albert Avenue. Police confirmed that a person died by suicide earlier this morning.
Lt. Adrian Ojerio also confirmed that the person was not a Michigan State University student.
The parking garage was temporarily closed, and a Starbucks near the scene closed for the day.
