Michigan State University women’s basketball earned a No. 7 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament’s Spokane Region, marking its highest placement since 2016 and second appearance since 2021.

MSU will take on No. 10 seed Harvard in the first round on Saturday in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Crimson (24-4, 11-3 Ivy League) won the Ivy League Tournament after finishing third in conference play.

This marks just the second meeting between the programs, with MSU winning the lone matchup 80-73 in 2014. A victory over Harvard would set up a second-round clash with either No. 2 NC State or No. 15 Vermont.

MSU (21-9, 11-7 Big Ten) finished fifth in the conference standings and ranked 10th nationally in assists (18.3 per game) and 14th in scoring (79.5 points per game). As a No. 6 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, the Spartans were upset by No. 11 Iowa in the first round. In her first season as head coach, Robyn Fralick led MSU to its best start in program history at 11-0.

MSU and Harvard will tip off on Saturday, March 22, in Raleigh, with the game time yet to be announced.
