In MSU's trajectory-altering win over the Hawkeyes, Marsh was all over the field, finding gaps in coverage and exploiting a solid Iowa defense for substantial gains. On MSU's final scoring drive which put the Spartans up double digits, Marsh delivered a flurry of timely grabs and nifty run-after-catch ability with three receptions for 42 yards.

Marsh’s final catch of the day was called a touchdown on the field, but replay review determined Marsh’s knee was down at Iowa's one-yard line, and the call was reversed. MSU found the end zone on the next play. 

The award is Marsh's second time earning Big Ten Player of the Week, his first coming after a 194-yard showing against Maryland in week two. Saturday was also his second 100-yard game, sitting at 24 receptions for 433 yards and one touchdown on the season. Marsh leads all MSU pass catchers in receiving yards. 

Kim made six field goals to break an MSU football record for most field goals in a game. The previous record was held by John Langelow and Paul Edingerm, who both had five in a game.

Though MSU's offense looked more in sync against Iowa than ever this season, the Spartans couldn't always find the end zone and called on Kim seven times. In one of his bigger kicks of the game to put MSU up by eight points in the second half, Kim stepped up and drilled a 55-yarder through the uprights, erupting Spartan Stadium. 

In a pivotal win for MSU's season, Kim accounted for 20 its 32 points. He's now made 15 field goals, ranking first in the Big Ten and second in the country.
