A timely warning was sent out by the MSU Police Department at 12:54 a.m. on Thursday alerting MSU community members of an armed robbery that was reported at Snyder Hall.

At 1:13 a.m., an alert notification was released stating that one suspect was in custody, and "the second suspect is believed to have left the area.” The second suspect was "arrested by MSU police around 2:00 a.m and is also in custody," according to the social media statement released 47 minutes following the initial alert.

The 12:54 a.m. email stated that “the suspects ordered pizza and when it was delivered to Snyder Hall, they approached the driver, asked for his wallet and took the pizza.” The warning said one of the suspects “displayed a grey handgun, possibly a Glock,” and that “the victim was struck after refusing to hand over his wallet.”

The suspects were described as “a college-age male with a dark complexion, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, and a thin build who is wearing a purple hoodie,” and “a college-age male with a dark complexion, approximately 6 foot 1 inch in height, and a thin build who is wearing a red hoodie.”

A MSUDPPS news release that was published later Thursday morning identified the suspects as 18 year-old and 20 year-old males from Lansing. The statement said that the suspects remain in custody "pending a review of charges by the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office."

The email stated the suspects were seen running into MSU’s campus, south on Bogue street at 12:54 a.m. Law enforcement established a perimeter around the area and "attempted to track the suspects with a K9," according to a social media statement released by the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety, or MSUDPPS via Twitter.
