Head Women’s Basketball Coach Suzy Merchant released her first statement Tuesday night since her minor car accident caused by a medical episode on Jan. 28.
Merchant thanked everyone for their support and well wishes in the statement and said she is continuing to focus on her health and taking the time necessary to get back to 100%.

Wednesday night on the road against Wisconsin will be the team’s fourth without its head coach. It is still unclear at this time when she will be back.
