Michigan State hockey continues to climb in the USCHO Poll, moving up one spot to No. 16 after splitting its series with then-No. 6 Penn State over the weekend.

MSU suffered a heartbreaking loss on Friday night, falling 4-3 to PSU after the Nittany Lions scored a game-winning goal in the final minute of play. The Spartans bounced back on Saturday night to split the series while netting an impressive seven goals.

The Spartans also moved to No. 11 in this week's Men's Division I PairWise Rankings, one spot above rival Michigan (9-5-0).

Other teams representing the Big Ten in the top-20 this week are No. 2 Minnesota, No. 5 Michigan, No. 7 Penn State, No. 12 Ohio State and No. 19 Notre Dame.

MSU will stay on the road this week, traveling to Miami (OH) for a non-conference series on Friday and Saturday. Following the series, MSU will return home to Munn Ice Arena to play No. 2 Minnesota on Dec. 2 and 3.
