The 54B District Court in East Lansing will now accept e-filings as of Thursday morning, Judge Richard D. Ball announced Thursday.

Attorneys are now required to e-file and self-represented parties may participate in the e-filing program, but are not be required to do so.

However, those who are required to e-file can request an exemption.

In addition, video tutorials are available online to help filers familiarize themselves with the e-filing process available on the MiFILE YouTube Channel.

“During this transition period from paper filings to e-filings, the MiFILE support team stands at the ready and prepared to work with the filing community to make this process as seamless as possible,” the City of East Lansing said in a press release.
