2027 men's Final Four will be hosted in Detroit at Ford Field

For the second time in Detroit history, the 2027 men's Final Four will be hosted in Detroit, Michigan. The event will take place at Ford Field on April 3. and 5.

The last time the event was awarded to Detroit was in 2009 when Michigan State overcame the University of Connecticut in the semifinals, 82-73. This was followed by a devastating 89-72 loss to the North Carolina Tarheels, coincidentally the last appearance MSU has made in a Final Four Championship game since.

The 2009 Ford Field Championship matchup hosted a total of 72,922 fans, setting the fifth-highest attendance for the event in history.

Detroit plans to host the Midwest regional in 2024 as well.

Other locations announced were Las Vegas in 2028, Indianapolis in 2029 and North Texas in 2030.

2028 will be Las Vegas' first host experience. The Final Four was most recently held in North Texas in 2014 at the same venue planned for 2030, AT&T Stadium. Indianapolis will host the tournament games for the tenth time in 2029, the most recent games being there in 2021.
