Each week, The State News’ degenerates who are 21 and older will be helping you try to earn some money with three picks of their own. We will also update our records from the last week, so you can see who is really helping you cash in.
We've reached the home stretch of the season, meaning it's time to lock in and get all three of the guys over .500.

I ended up buying out of the Maryland-Wisconsin over 50 when I saw the weather forecast, so only lost a slight margin there. For this sake though, I’ll count it as a loss. 2-1 week for me.
Nebraska (1H +18.5) at Michigan
I fully expect Michigan to steamroll Nebraska. But over the course of the season, Michigan tends to screw around a bit in the first half of games. The Wolverines did it last week, trailing Rutgers 17-14 at halftime.
In fact, Michigan hasn’t covered a first half spread in four consecutive games. It's time to make it five.
Stanford at Utah (1H -13.5)
I’ve got another first half bet. Stanford has completely given up. This is rock bottom for the Cardinal. The full game line scares me, but I think the Utes can take a two-touchdown lead at halftime.
Maryland at Penn State (-10)
Maryland hasn’t covered a spread since facing Michigan State. The Terrapins lost to Purdue, could only beat Northwestern and Indiana by a combined 10 points and then lost to Wisconsin.
I also decided to look at the weather this week and noticed there could be some rain and wind in State College. That should work in Penn State’s favor.

All I have to say is I owe an apology to Liberty.
Indiana at Ohio State (-39.5)
The last time we saw the Buckeyes, they were in a dogfight with the lowly Northwestern Wildcats. Indiana also had a rough week, getting blown out on the road against Penn State.
I don’t have to explain how much better Ohio State is. I know 40 is a lot of points to bet the over on, but Indiana is terrible this season. And after last week’s poor performance against the Wildcats, I think Head Coach Ryan Day will have his squad fired up. Give me the Buckeyes in a massive blowout.
Alabama (-8.5) at Ole Miss
This has been one of the worst seasons the Crimson Tide has had under Head Coach Nick Saban, but I just can’t see Alabama losing more than two regular season games. Ole Miss is good, but I don’t think they’re great. The Crimson Tide will easily take care of the Rebels.
Liberty (-14) at UConn

This is my way of making it up to the Flames. They proved me wrong with an excellent performance against Arkansas last week, and UConn is godawful. Liberty will take care of business against a lesser opponent.

South Alabama is a wagon, if you haven’t hopped on, now is your time after paying off in back-to-back weeks.
South Alabama (-16.5) vs. Texas State
Wagon.
Kansas State (+2.5) at Baylor
I love Dave Aranda at Baylor, truly. He’s one of the best coaches in the nation in my opinion. However, this Kansas State team is one of the best in the nation on both sides of the ball. I like Kansas State to run away in this one, so feel free to sprinkle on the moneyline as well.
TCU (+7.5) at Texas
Don’t get me wrong here, I do think that TCU is not as good as advertised. However, the spread is too much here for a Texas team that is not back, even if the Longhorns come away with a win.
