Trustee secretary, chief of staff position vacant

Former Board of Trustees Secretary and Chief of Staff Eric Scorsone left the position on Sept. 9 according to deputy spokesperson Dan Olsen.

Scorsone began as secretary and chief of staff on Feb. 1, 2022 replacing former acting secretary Brian Quinn. The board secretary’s primary role is to act as a liaison between the trustees and MSU administration. Scorsone did not wish to comment.

Scorsone has returned to a faculty position within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, according to Olsen.

According to Careers at MSU’s website, the position’s application, which was advertised on Sept. 12, closes on Sep. 26.

Board of Trustees Chair Dianne Byrum did not immediately respond for comment.
