After a brief stint at Penn State, former four-star defensive lineman Ken Talley is taking his talents to East Lansing.

Talley was a member of the Nittany Lions' 2022 recruiting class. He did not play a snap in Penn State's opener against Purdue.

Barring an appeal for immediate eligibility, Talley will not play for Michigan State this season, as he missed the transfer portal deadline. Already a week into the season, a redshirt could make the most sense for the true freshman.

The Pennsylvania native is listed as a linebacker on Penn State's roster, despite playing on the defensive line throughout high school. It is unclear what position Michigan State has in mind for Talley, but at 6-foot-2 inches and 238 pounds, the defender has the size to play in multiple roles in the Spartans front seven.
