Looking to add a furry new addition to your family? Saved by Zade is partnering with the local Lansing PetSmart to put on this year’s national pet adoption week event.

From July 11-17, the Lansing PetSmart location (305 N Marketplace Blvd, Lansing, MI 48917) will have cats and kittens available for adoption, due to the overlap with kitten season.

“Our partnership with PetSmart Charities is invaluable to the adoption process and creating a cultural shift that puts more value on felines. We are able to showcase kitties with different needs: shy cats, one-eyed cats, cats with chronic issues and more,” Volunteer and Director Alyssa Draper said in a press release. “While showcasing the kitties, we are able to educate the community, leading to even better welfare for the cats.”

There will be volunteers present throughout the week to assist those interested in adoption with resources on adopting a new pet, and what needs to be done.

All available animals are already spayed or neutered. They are up to date on vaccinations and have been treated for parasites.

”National Adoption Week is an ideal opportunity to give a pet what they need most – people to love,” Heidi Fulcher, Adoptions Grant Manager at PetSmart Charities said in a press release. “Over the years, together with local partners such as Saved by Zade, we’ve matched more than 10 million pets with loving homes. Globally, people say their pets are important family members that enhance their lives, too. That’s a win-win!”
