Comedian John Mulaney is coming to East Lansing on Sept. 8, according to an Instagram post from the Wharton Center on Tuesday.

The performance is the first leg of the “From Scratch” tour’s journey into Michigan, with Detroit and Kalamazoo hosting on Sept. 9 and Sept. 11, respectively.
“From Scratch” is Mulaney’s first special since his 2020 stint in rehab and 2021 divorce. Reviews from Philadelphia and Mashantucket describe the set’s tone as blunter than previous Mulaney performances but still managing to feel intimate and lighthearted.
Ticket sales will open Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. on the Wharton Center’s website.
