Our newsroom is prepped and ready to go for our biggest event of the year: March Madness.
But this time, we need your help.
The State News is participating in The Daily Orange’s College Media Madness this year, a fundraising tournament centered around the NCAA Tournament. We are going directly head to head with 37 other student media outlets, including our bitter rival The Michigan Daily, to see who can raise the most donations for their paper over the course of the month of March.
Since our creation, The State News not only has been one of the premier student media outlets in the nation but one of the best online and print outlets period. And now, it’s time we show everyone else how much reach and impact we have. We’re calling on all our alumni, readers and anyone who supports The State News to help us win.
Not only will your generous donation help The State News win College Media Madness, but these donations will go right back into helping our great paper continue to produce hard-hitting and informative journalism that we have provided for 113 years. Our work on Michigan State's campus, the city of East Lansing, the sports that define Spartan Nation and student culture will all benefit from this fundraiser. Heck, maybe it’ll even help us beat The Michigan Daily in our touch football game. Who knows?
Click here to head to our donation page to help us do what we do best in March, win.
