After a grueling 33-game season, Michigan State has received its formal invitation to the Big Dance for the 24th straight year.
Michigan State will take on Davidson in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Spartans received a seven seed in the West region and will play its first weekend games in Greenville, South Carolina. The game will take place on Friday, March 18.
Davidson is led by former MSU point guard Foster Loyer, who transferred in the offseason. The junior point guard has flourished with the change of scenery and averages 16.6 points and 3.3 assists per game.
If Michigan State can get past the Wildcats, they will take on the winner of No. 2 Duke and No. 15 Cal State Fullerton. If MSU manages to make it out of the first weekend, they will play in the Sweet 16 in San Francisco.
