Redshirt sophomore quarterback Payton Thorne and redshirt junior wide receiver Jalen Nailor celebrate a two-point conversion during the Spartans' 31-21 victory against Pitt in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 30, 2021. The Spartans scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Michigan State redshirt junior wide receiver Jalen Nailor announced via Twitter that he will forego his remaining eligibility and declare for the NFL draft.

Nailor has been an instrumental part of the Michigan State offense since he arrived as a speed threat within the offense. Nailor had 86 catches for 1454 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career at MSU. He was named All-Big Ten honorable mention for his 2021 season, where he had 37 catches for 695 yards and six touchdowns as a key member of MSU’s resurgent offense.

Nailor had a lot of impactful moments as a Spartan, but none stand out quite like his three-touchdown first half against Rutgers this past season. Nailor was a part of the transition to head coach Mel Tucker and served as a key voice in the locker room as a vocal leader during the turnaround.
