Michigan State's games against rival Michigan postponed due to COVID issues within U-M

The Michigan State men’s basketball games versus Michigan on Saturday was cancelled due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Wolverine program. 

The Titus and Tate program were the first to report the postponement late on Friday night. According to the Michigan athletic program, their team had fallen below the Big Ten required minimum of seven eligible players. Michigan in their last game against Rutgers was without several key players in their eight-point loss.

The game will be rescheduled for a later date in the season. MSU’s next game is on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at home against Minnesota. The Spartans' next scheduled game against the Wolverines is on Jan. 29.
