The season accolades continued on Wednesday for Michigan State as more players received All-Big Ten honors.
Junior running back Kenneth Walker III was named Big Ten's Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year on top of being named one of seven players selected by both the media and coaches to the All-Big Ten First team. He is the first player in school history to win Big Ten Running Back of the Year.
A transfer from Wake Forest, Walker ranks first in the country in yards after contact (1,154), 20+ yard carries (21) and forced missed tackles (89) and ranks second in the country in rushing yards per game (136.3) and total rushing yards (1,636). He is also a finalist for the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award.
Redshirt junior wide receiver Jayden Reed was unanimously named to the All-Big Ten Third Team after being named to the All-Big Ten Second Team as a return specialist.
Reed has made 53 catches for 946 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He has been one of MSU's clutchest players, returning a late punt for a touchdown versus Nebraska and most recently making a fantastic touchdown catch late in last week's game versus Penn State.
Graduate offensive lineman Matt Allen, redshirt senior tight end Connor Heyward, senior offensive tackle Jarrett Horst, redshirt senior guard Kevin Jarvis and redshirt sophomore quarterback Payton Thorne are All-Big Ten honorable mentions by the coaches while Allen, Thorne, Heyward and Jarvis, in addition to graduate offensive tackle A.J.
