The East Lansing Farmer's Market will be starting its season June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court. The 2021 market season will run until Oct. 31.

On opening day, the first 100 customers to visit the market will receive a $2 coupon to spend there. In addition, customers can participate in the Kindness Rocks garden project. You can pick up a take-home rock kit and decorate the rocks with uplifting messages to add to the rock garden or take home.

The market's COVID-19 safety measures reflect the recent orders and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, or MDHHS. Customers should not attend the market if they feel sick, have symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. MDHHS and the CDC both strongly recommend that non-vaccinated individuals at crowded outdoor events wear masks.

Customers must maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others and use designated entrances. They may also bring reusable bags, avoid touching products they will not purchase and follow all market signs. All food must be consumed outside the market. Animals are not permitted entrance.

Hand sanitizing stations will be available. Double Up Food Bucks, SNAP/Bridge Cards, and Senior Project FRESH/Market FRESH coupons will be accepted.
