Michigan State softball's four-game home series against Penn State set for this weekend has been postponed. The decision comes "out of an abundance of caution due to positive tests among Penn State's Tier 1 personnel," a statement released by MSU Athletics said.

Michigan State and Penn State will work with the Big Ten Conference to reschedule.

This is the second postponement this season for Spartan softball. Their two-game series with Michigan was postponed in early April "due to COVID-19 protocols."

Now, the team's next scheduled game is set for April 23 against Purdue.
