MSU men's basketball to play in First Four game as No. 11 seed in NCAA Tournament

Michigan State men's basketball will play in a First Four match against UCLA (17-9) on Thursday, March 18 for their 23rd straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

If the Spartans win, they will play as an 11-seed against BYU.

Nine total teams from the Big Ten Conference made the Big Dance. In the Midwest region, Big Ten Tournament Champion Illinois earned a 1-seed and Rutgers a 10-seed.

Michigan earned a 1-seed in the East region and Maryland earned a 10-seed.

In the South, Ohio State earned a 2-seed, Purdue earned a 4-seed and Wisconsin earned a 9-seed.

Wisconsin earned a 9-seed in the West region.

MSU's First Four matchup with UCLA will be televised on TBS or truTV.
