MSU hockey has lost another senior to the transfer portal today, and this time it's senior forward Brody Stevens.

A spokesperson for the hockey team confirmed Stevens' decision to The State News Tuesday afternoon.

Hours after news of senior defenseman Tommy Miller entering the portal came to light, Stevens made the same move.

Stevens played at MSU for four seasons and will have one remaining year of eligibility wherever he lands. Stevens played in all 27 games of the Spartans' 2020-21 campaign where he tallied two goals, two assists and 21 blocks.

As a sophomore during the 2018-19 season, Stevens tied for second on the team with two game-winning goals contributing to his five goal total.

Stevens is from Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Miller announces decision to leave the program

MSU hockey senior defenseman Tommy Miller has entered the transfer portal, a spokesperson for the team has confirmed.

Due to the NCAA's extra year of eligibility from COVID-19, Miller has one year remaining of eligibility wherever he ends up.

The 6-foot-1, West Bloomfield native is one of the best shot blockers in the nation. As a senior and captain for the team's 2020-21 campaign, Miller blocked a staggering team-high 71 shots. He also added on one goal and three assists. Miller has played for the Spartans for four seasons, beginning in 2017.
