After Mel Tucker secured his first win as head coach for Michigan State against No. 13 Michigan on Saturday in a 27-24 victory, Spartan fans made their way to the streets of East Lansing. The police scanner reported a few hundred people making their way toward Cedar Village, an apartment complex notorious for burning couches.

Reports and confirmations of couches burning, car crashes and injuries across East Lansing followed.

Videos of the scene in East Lansing have surfaced across social media. Hundreds can be seen downtown, many of which were not wearing any masks.

Ahead of the Michigan game and Halloween, the Ingham County Health Department limited outdoor gatherings to 10 people.

According to Ingham County Health Communications Specialist Amanda Darche, anyone in violation of the 10-person limit will be subject to a $500 fine, based on a city of East Lansing ordinance.
