MSU President Samuel L. Stanley Jr. announced the fourth finalist for the vice president and chief diversity officer position Jabbar R. Bennett, who will be virtually visiting campus Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Finalists will have a full day to meet with MSU faculty, staff, administrators and students. The following day, each finalist hosts an open forum on Zoom to share their personal background and interest in the position. A moderated Q&A discussion will follow the forum.
Page's open forum will be held from 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Bennett currently works as the associate provost, inclusion and chief diversity officer at Northwestern university. Before that he was the associate dean, recruiting and professional development at Brown University’s graduate school.
Bennett has a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his undergraduate degrees from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
