A Michigan State international student died on Saturday, March 21, East Lansing Police Chief Steve Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez said the East Lansing Police Department responded to the call during the day and the cause of death is not yet known. Gonzalez said that foul play is not believed to have been a factor.
A test for COVID-19 came back negative, Gonzalez said.
More will be known when a lab report comes in, Gonzalez said.
