Michigan State football announced Wednesday that it will hire former Colorado coach Mel Tucker as the Spartans' next head coach. The decision follows record-breaking coach Mark Dantonio's retirement announcement that came Feb. 4.
MSU's Board of Trustees held a special meeting Wednesday at 5 p.m., where they unanimously approved the move to hire Tucker.
At 6:30 p.m., Tucker will be introduced at a press conference in the Breslin Center.
